Commercial Pilot License

An Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) is basically a person licensed to certify the aircraft or its component for its airworthiness before its release to service.

Yes, A Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is a type of pilot license that permits the holder to act as a pilot of an aircraft. Often considered as the next milestone of professional flying, You don’t just get the license to earn along with indulging in your passion to fly (Domestic and International flights) but also you get an opportunity to make a mark on Indian Aviation Industry. You are responsible for the lives of the passengers on board based on your flying skills. The eligibility criteria to obtain the license and the privileges are agreed upon internationally by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), of course its implementation may defer from country to country.

In India, DGCA (Director General of Civil Aviation) is the regulatory body which issues the commercial Pilot License after fulfilling all the eligibility criteria and successfully completion of required flying hrs and passing the examination conducted by DGCA. Upon the completion of those prerequisites, the applicant will have to appear for the exam conducted by the governing body consisting of an oral and practical flight test from an examiner.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Following criteria to be fulfilled to get enrolled in any of the pilot training academy. Your age should not be less than 17 years to begin training.

  • 10+2 passed with Physics chemistry and mathematics.
  • Medical certificate issued by the required authorities.
  • If you are a non-science student, you may pursue the required subjects through the National Institute of Open Schooling or as a private candidate from the respective state board.
